Uncovered – Spoken Word Celebrating Almasi League

We want to support and deliver arts projects that inspire communities, enrich society and stimulate people to fulfil their potential.

East London Almasi League programme launched for emerging Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic writers. Newham New Deal Partnership is launching the second year of its Almasi League programme, supported by Arts Council England, which aims to develop both writing talent in BAME communities, and the audience for BAME writing.

Emerging Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic writers are invited to apply for a place on the Almasi League emerging writers programme. Successful applicants will take part in a structured workshop and tutorial programme over 10 months starting in October 2016 and culminating in public performance events, mentored by Almasi League Writer in Residence, Courttia Newland.
